What Actually Happens in a Reading

Booking a reading with someone for the first time comes with a normal amount of hesitation. You don't know what to expect, you don't know what to say, and you're not sure how much to prepare. Here is what a session with Madeline Huggins actually looks like, from the phone call that books it to the last question you ask.

Booking starts with a phone call

All scheduling goes through one phone number, (303) 726-1983. If Madeline doesn't pick up, leave a message and she'll call you back. You can also reach her by email at madeline@madelinehuggins.com or through the contact form on this site. Once a time is set, payment is handled separately, by PayPal or Zelle, so you're not reading out card numbers over the phone or committing to anything before a time is even confirmed.

She starts with your name

Madeline is a fourth generation psychic who has worked professionally since 2003. Her process for a session starts simply: she focuses on your name, then works from there. Sometimes she brings in Tarot cards partway through, not as the main event but as a way to add clarity to something that's already coming through. You don't need to lay out your situation in detail before she begins, and you don't need to bring anything with you. That's part of the point of starting from a name rather than a form to fill out. First timers sometimes worry there's a right way to sound or a right way to ask a question. There isn't. You can be nervous, unsure, or completely new to this, and the session works the same way regardless.

What's actually included

Both reading lengths cover the same ground: clairvoyance, an intuitive reading, Tarot where it's useful, an energy assessment, and a chakra alignment. None of this is a menu you pick from item by item during the call. It's simply how the session is built, and it happens the same way for the half hour and the full hour alike.

A general overview, then your specific questions

Every reading has two parts. The first is a general overview, where Madeline shares what she's picking up without you steering it. The second is yours: whatever specific questions you came in with, about work, a relationship, a decision you're sitting on, get answered directly. If you don't have a question ready, that's fine. The overview comes first regardless, and it often gives you something to ask about once it's your turn.

Half hour or full hour changes how much room you have

The half hour reading covers the overview and lets you get through a handful of the questions on your mind. The hour gives the conversation more room, so you can follow up, ask about more than one part of your life, or sit longer with something that needs more than a one line answer. Both are built the same way. The hour is simply more time inside that same structure, not a different kind of session.

What you walk away with

A reading isn't a guarantee, and nothing said in one should be treated as certain about how your life will unfold. What you get is Madeline's honest read on what she's picking up, offered with the approach she brings to every session: compassion, purpose, hope, and no judgement about whatever you bring in. Most people leave with a clearer sense of a few things they already suspected, and a couple they didn't. What you do with any of it afterward is entirely up to you.
